Elliott’s acrobatic effort stunned the on-looking Molineux crowd, some of whom were unsure if he had even made contact with the ball, such was his timing.
The goal soon circulated on Twitter and Liverpool fans were enchanted by what they saw.
“Jesus,” one stunned viewer said. “I saw this from arms length and I thought the corner just swung in. Upon closer inspection… My mind is blown.”
“Is that a Scorpion or a overhead? I can’t tell,” another fan said in disbelief.

Jurgen Klopp has confirmed U23s head coach Neil Critchley will take charge of the game with his stable of players while the senior team have their winter break.
Critchley did the same in December when Klopp was rallying his troops at the Club World Cup in Qatar, losing 5-0 to Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals.
“Hopefully more of the same when they play Shrewsbury,” one fan said after watching Elliott’s strike.
“If he can do that against Shrewsbury that’ll be great,” another requested.

Klopp, who was overseeing Liverpool’s Premier League game at West Ham while Elliott scored, has high hoes for the youngster.
“It’s easy to be convinced about him when you see him training,” Klopp said of Elliott in October.
“He is an exceptional talent, absolutely, and he’s a nice kid as well.”
