FA Cup prize money: How much is the fourth round worth?
FA Cup fourth-round fixtures take place this weekend but how much prize money is involved?
FA Cup action returns following the introduction of Premier League and Championship club in the previous round. But a place in the draw for the fifth round is not the only thing at stake.
Clubs picked up £135,000 for their victories in the FA Cup third round and this weekend’s winners will earn £180,000.
The prize money awarded does not include money generated through gate receipts and television deals.
Between the third and sixth rounds, 45 per cent of gate receipts are divided between both clubs, with 10 per cent heading into a central pot.
Clubs featuring in televised fixtures will each receive a £150,000 broadcast fee.

Matches on TV offer great advertising opportunities, which also generates large amounts for the FA Cup fund.
Speaking in 2016, Andy Clilverd, commercial director at Stadia Solutions, which specialises in the digital hoardings that run along the sides of the pitch, said: “Getting advertising access to the TV games remains very important.
“Advertisers don’t believe the magic of the cup has worn off – we have not seen a slackening off in rates.”
The draw for the FA Cup fifth round draw takes place on Monday, January 27.
