Manchester United’s owners, the Glazer family, have been told to step in and fire vice-chairman Ed Woodward, or else nothing will change at Old Trafford. The Red Devils are in crisis mode, having failed to secure any of their top transfer targets this month.

Things haven’t been going well on the pitch recently either.
On Sunday, they were comfortably beaten 2-0 by Liverpool, a defeat which leaves them looking over their shoulders in the race to qualify for Europe.
And much of the blame has fallen at the door of Woodward, who is the club’s vice-chairman and is responsible for hiring managers and finalising transfers.
Gary Neville tore into the United chief on Sunday as he called for the club to make changes to their hierarchy.

“When is he going to realise that he’s doing a bad job of supplying managers and players?
“If he’s in charge of all that, he’s picking the people and the managers, he’s got to sit down and look in the mirror and say ‘I’m doing a bad job of this’.
“He may be doing a good job on the commercial side, but he’s doing a bad job of this.”
