Arsenal have no intentions of letting Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leave for Barcelona on loan during the January transfer window, according to reports. The Gabon international has emerged as a target for the Catalan giants as they hunt a replacement for the injured Luis Suarez.
Arsenal have endured a difficult campaign under both Unai Emery and Mikel Arteta this season but Aubameyang, amid the chaos, has been a shining light.
The Gabon international has bagged 14 Premier League goals from 22 appearances this term to help keep the north Londoners in the chase to finish in the top four.
Barcelona have emerged as potential suitors for the 30-year-old, however.
The Catalan giants will be without Suarez for four months months, with the Uruguay international having undergone an operation on an injury to the lateral meniscus in his right knee.
Barcelona have Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann capable of spearheading their side in the absence of Suarez.

But the Gunners, it seems, still believe they have a shot of keeping Aubameyang in north London.
The forward recently addressed speculation over his future, saying: "I would also like to react to some of the rumours that are going around about me in the media.
“People like making up stories and they should focus on what's happening on the pitch.
"They talk too much and it does my head in! I am the Arsenal captain. I love this club.

“I am committed to it and desperate to bring it back to the top, where it belongs."
Arsenal boss Arteta was delighted with Aubameyang’s words, adding: “I was thrilled about that and really happy.
“His commitment since the day I walked through that door has been phenomenal, the work he has been putting in, his attitude around the place with the players.
“He has done it (ended speculation), I do it, I want him here and I am so happy with him, so hopefully that is the end of the story.”
