Arsenal: Mikel Arteta 'disappointed' with loss to Chelsea
Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma admitted after his side’s 2-1 win over Arsenal in the Premier League that ‘maybe’ the Blues suffer from a lack of motivation when playing at home against smaller teams. Frank Lampard’s side have been inconsistent over the Christmas period this season.
Lampard’s side have picked up away wins over Tottenham and Arsenal in the past week but Chelsea have also lost to the likes of West Ham, Bournemouth, Everton and Southampton since November.
All of those defeats came at home, too, where Chelsea are struggling to pick up steam.
The west London side still remain in fourth place and they’re four points clear of Manchester United in fifth, but Lampard will be concerned with his team’s form at home.

But Zouma has revealed that he thinks Chelsea just find it harder to get up for matches against smaller sides at Stamford Bridge.
“For the big matches, the motivation is already there… for the other matches at home, maybe we are less motivated,” he told Canal+.
Chelsea went 1-0 down to Arsenal on Sunday thanks to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang before Jorginho and Tammy Abraham turned things around in the final 10 minutes of the game.

Lampard explained that his side’s second half performance came after what was a ‘lethargic’ first half.
He told BBC Sport: “We were so awful for 30 mins, slow lethargic, nervous. The opposite of against Tottenham. We gave Arsenal everything they wanted. We made the change early, felt it had to be done. Second half we dominated.
“After 10 mins or so it was clear that Arsenal had seen us play against Tottenham and made us into a back five instead of a back three.
“They were on top and there was a lack of balance to our team. The sub gave us another man in midfield and gave us more urgency.
