Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud has been told to walk away from Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea 'not taking enough chances' says Frank Lampard
France manager Didier Deschamps has urged Olivier Giroud to leave Chelsea in order to earn a place in his team for the European Championships next summer.
Giroud has endured a torrid start to the season for his club.
The French forward has started just two Premier League games this campaign, failing to find the net in any of his appearances.
He has come off the bench three times, but has found himself third in the pecking order by Frank Lampard.
Tammy Abraham has emerged as the first-choice striker, having scored 11 goals in 15 Premier League starts.

Behind him has been Michy Batshuayi, who has come off the bench 11 times in the league.
And as a result, Giroud has struggled to make any sort of impact for the club, with his contract set to expire next summer.
The 33-year-old is expected to leave in January, and Deschamps believes he needs to get out for the good of his international career.
Speaking on Sunday, the French coach insisted he will be looking at his players’ game time for their clubs ahead of next summer’s European Championships.

“His situation at Chelsea has not changed for two months,” said Deschamps.
“It would be better for him, obviously, to go to a club where he will have more playing time.
If he cannot have this playing time at Chelsea, the idea is to be able to have it elsewhere.
"It is up to him to decide the solution.
"I don’t know what offers he has, where it might be possible for him to get more playing time.
“We saw each other not so long ago. As with every player, he’s the one who decides.
“But keep in mind that it’s the daily life of players with their clubs that leads to France selection.
"He knows it. It’s up to him to decide the best solution for himself.”
