Liverpool: Pundits discuss title race with Man City
Premier League matchweek 14 gets underway on Saturday with Liverpool looking to extend their lead at the top. Experts have also predicted how the final table will look, and Leicester City are set to miss out on another title by a single point.
Liverpool are set to gain a historic 101 points to secure their first league title since 1990, according to the predicted final table.
Jurgen Klopp’s men have won 12 of their 13 fixtures so far only failing to beat Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United.
Manchester City are set to remain behind Brendan Rodgers’s Leicester City in a failed attempt to win a third consecutive title, with Frank Lampard’s Chelsea earning the final Champions League spot.
Sheffield United and Burnley have been tipped to pull off shocks by finishing fifth and sixth respectively after the 38 games are up, with Wolves climbing above the trio of Manchester United, Tottenham and Arsenal.

Merson wrote in The Daily Star: “I thought the title race was over and said so in my column, but I saw enough of Liverpool against Crystal Palace and Napoli to think a couple of injuries would open it back up again.
“They struggled badly against Palace.
“They’re still winning even though they’re not playing well. But that stops sooner or later.”
In terms of the relegation battle, Watford are in for a tough task having failed to win 12 of their 13 outings so far this season, and Quique Sanchez Flores is aware of the size of the task.
