Tottenham Hotspur: Mourinho praises team in West Ham win
Jamie Redknapp pulled up fellow Sky Sports pundit Roy Keane, on comments in which he said Spurs have had a weakness to them for 20 years.
Redknapp’s father Harry, of course managed Tottenham between 2008-2012, leading them to the Champions League quarter-finals along the way.
Yet in typical Keane fashion, he wasn’t afraid to give an honest assessment of Tottenham, and ended up provoking a reaction from former Spurs and Liverpool midfielder Redknapp.
“They’ve got quality,” Keane said after Manchester City beat Chelsea 2-1.
“I’ve always said when you’ve got a goalscorer like Harry Kane you’ve got a chance of winning football matches.
“Obviously Tottenham have had a weakness to them for 20 years.”
At this point, Redknapp snapped, masking his frustration with a semi-serious tone.
“Oh come on, when my Dad was there they weren’t,” he replied.
