Arsenal star Bernd Leno is being targeted by Bayern Munich as Manuel Neuer’s successor between the sticks.
According to The Sun, Bayern are worried about Neuer’s form as he has only managed three clean sheets in the Bundesliga this season.
The Germany international has been considered as one of the best goalkeepers in the world for a long time but recent injuries, combined with some loss of form, have raised doubts at the Allianz Arena.
That is why the Bavarian giants have turned to Leno whose Premier League experience has raised his stock following an impressive seven-year stint at Bayer Leverkusen.
I think he’s developing well, I thought he was a good goalkeeper anyway but he’s turned into one of the best in the league at the minute. He’s really consistent

The 27-year-old, though, has only managed two clean sheets and has conceded 17 goals in a total of 12 matches.
Arsenal have experienced a poor start to the campaign and pressure is continuing to mount following Saturday’s 2-0 loss to Leicester at the King Power Stadium.
Neuer, on the other hand, put together an impressive performance at Der Klassiker against Borussia Dortmund.
Bayern thrashed Dortmund 4-0 at home with a brace from Robert Lewandowski, Serge Gnabry’s strike and Mats Hummels’ own goal.

Neuer also kept a clean sheet in the Bundesliga champions’ most recent Champions League clash against Olympiakos, which they won 2-0.
Leno, though, has received plaudits in the Premier League as former Sunderland star Darren Bent considers him as one of the best keepers in English football.
Bent said earlier this season: “I think he’s developing well, I thought he was a good goalkeeper anyway but he’s turned into one of the best in the league at the minute. He’s really consistent.
