The four players Tottenham must get rid of and three they need to give a new contract
Express Sport has picked the players Tottenham must let go and those who deserve a new contract.
Mauricio Pochettino and Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will soon have some big decisions to make.
That is because Spurs have three first-team players out of contract at the end of this season.
Four more stars will see their deals expire in the summer of 2021.
So Express Sport has looked at each of those individual players and whether Tottenham should keep them or move them on.
Tottenham players out of contract in 2020
Toby Alderweireld - let go
Alderweireld could have left last summer as he had a release clause of just £25million.
However, it is telling that no club activated it and his performances so far this season have not been up to scratch.
Christian Eriksen - let go
Eriksen made it clear he wanted to leave Tottenham in the summer but his dream move to Real Madrid did not happen.
Murmurings of discontent in the dressing room is the last thing Spurs need, so they should try and sell the Dane in January.
Jan Vertonghen - keep
Vertonghen will be 33 in April and may be worth keeping for another season.
However, his performances have also dropped and it is clear Tottenham need a new centre-back or two.

Eric Dier - let go
Dier’s versatility can be useful but also means he is labelled Jack of all trades, master of none.
Reports claim he will be transfer listed in January.
Danny Rose - keep
Rose’s future at Tottenham has been up in the air for several years now.
But he is still their best left-back and should be kept on for another year at least.
Oliver Skipp - keep
Nineteen-year-old midfielder Skipp is worth persevering with.
The academy graduate has featured twice in the Premier League this season and was trusted by Mauricio Pochettino as a late substitute in the 2-2 draw at Manchester City.
Victor Wanyama - let go
Wanyama nearly left Spurs in the summer and has struggled for game time after an exit did not happen.
His performance in the shock Carabao Cup exit to Colchester did nothing to push his case for selection.
