Man Utd star Paul Pogba demands same pay as Cristiano Ronaldo to stay at Old Trafford
Manchester United star Paul Pogba has been regularly linked with a move away from Old Trafford.
Man Utd: Solskjaer 'I'm ready to see these boys blossom'
Paul Pogba reportedly wants €30million (£27m) a year to stay at Manchester United with his current deal ending in 2021.
Pogba has been continuously linked with a move away from United with Real Madrid and Juventus believed to be keen.
The French star stayed at Old Trafford during the summer despite plenty of speculation with his current contract ending in just under two years.
Manchester United do have an option to extend the deal by a further year, though reports claim it will cost them big to keep him any longer.
Italian outlet Tuttosport claim Pogba wants £27m a year - the same figure that Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo earns.
Pogba has been out injured recently with Manchester United having suffered a dreadful start to the Premier League season.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have won just two of their first eight games and were beaten by struggling Newcastle last weekend.
Next up for is a visit of table-toppers and 100 per cent starters Liverpool on October 20.
And Solskjaer is feeling positive about the derby despite Jurgen Klopp’s side having started the season in imperious fashion.
He said: “That’s a perfect game for us.
“The international break is also at the perfect time because their heads need a bit of airing.
“They will go away with their national teams, meet their team-mates and come back fresh.
“We have had a good time together, we have prepared since the first day of pre-season, we have stuck to the same principles.
“We have not got the result today but we have to keep carrying on.”
