Arsenal take on Manchester United on Monday [8pm KO], and have the chance to heap further misery on Solskjaer's side.
The Norwegian is currently having a torrid time as boss at Old Trafford, having seen his side collapse on all fronts since he was given the job permanently.
United have lost eight out of 18 games since Solskjaer took the wheel full-time back in March.
Despite spending close to £150million in the summer transfer window, the Red Devils have faltered so far this season and were beaten 2-0 by West Ham last weekend.
However, Solskjaer's job seems to be safe for now, with Ed Woodward reassuring fans that they are in a transition period.
And Arsenal boss Emery suggested that he is still the right man for the job, claiming the ex-striker knows the club perfectly.
"Solskjaer has experience, he was a player at Manchester United, he knows the club perfectly," he told a press conference.
"He knows the high competition, the high level and he has now very good players.

"His challenge is also to achieve the consistency and performances that will get them in the top four.
"We are going to fight on Monday the first time of this season and it's how we can respond, us and them."
Monday night's game will be the first meeting of the season between the two old enemies.
