Tottenham have reportedly placed a hefty £32million price tag on boss Mauricio Pochettino - and Manchester United are ready to meet it.
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has come under heavy pressure this season after securing just two wins in the opening six games.
The Norwegian almost suffered further embarrassment against Rochdale in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, a penalty shootout saving his blushes on that occasion after a 1-1 draw.
United have been long linked with Pochettino, who has been performing way above expectations at Spurs.

The Sunadd that Pochettino wants to leave north London but relationships between United and Spurs are said to be rocky.
Teddy Sheringham, Michael Carrick and Dimitar Berbatov all forced through moves to the 13-time Premier League title winner.
And that has left a sour taste with Levy, who will not let Pochettino go on the cheap.
Amid all the exit talk, Pochettino has vowed to fight until the end to try and end Spurs’ trophy drought.

Mauricio Pochettino led Spurs to the Champions League final last year (Image: GETTY)
He said: “To achieve the final of the Champions League with Tottenham – no-one expected that. It was more than a dream, more than a dream.
“In that moment I felt disappointed and then I took a train, after the train, to Barcelona and again you feel like you are depressed.
“In your mind, you expect to move on after a week and say ‘I want to, again, be there.’ You cannot be happy.
“Yes, we have some disagreements, of course. But I am happy now because I am a positive and of course this season is going to another massive challenge. But we must have that energy to try to be contenders and try again to fight for big things and I’m going to try until the end.”
