I just worry Hazard hasn’t gone there at the wrong time
Glenn Hoddle on Eden Hazard joining Real Madrid
Zidane’s side trailed 2-0 at half time away to a depleted Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday.
And Hoddle questioned whether Eden Hazard, who was making his first start for Los Blancos, had timed his move right.
“For many years you look at them and you think ‘well they only want to play when they’ve got the ball’,” Hoddle said of Real on BT Sport.
“Collectively they don’t want to defend, the midfield let runners go, no one tracks anyone.
“That collectiveness as a team, they look as if they’re playing like individuals.

Meanwhile, former Barcelona striker Gary Lineker says Real’s struggles are not new.
“They’ve been poor for over a year now,” Lineker said.
“Going back two years, even before that, when they won the Champions League, you could see this gradual demise.”
Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand claimed PSG wanted to win the game more than Real on Wednesday.
“[PSG have] been the team that have looked more hungry, they’re sharper, they’ve got more cohesion,” Ferdinand said.
“This Real Madrid team, they look like a jaded outfit at the moment.”
Gareth Bale had a goal ruled out for handball in the first half and Lineker believes a change in law is needed.
