“It is a small problem. Where is it? I don’t know exactly.”
Pepe was still fit enough to start in the absence of Alexandre Lacazette.
The 28-year-old striker has been playing through the pain barrier of late with an ankle problem.
He hobbled off in the second half of the 2-2 north London derby draw with Tottenham before the international break.

But now Arsenal have confirmed that the star will take some time out to receive treatment on the persistent problem.
A statement on the Arsenal website read: “After assessments to an ongoing ankle issue, we have advised that Alex will need to rest and strengthen his ankle to regain full fitness.
“Alex has been playing through this injury for several weeks. He is likely to be back in action in October.”
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will move back into the middle of the front three with Mesut Ozil also returning to the fold.
