For the winning goal, Otamendi was played the ball inside the box by Stones, before dawdling on the ball for too long.
He was tackled by Emi Buendía, who played in Teemu Pukki at close range to seal the points.
The opener was also a disappointing showing from City, as Kenny McLean was able to convert with a bullet header from a corner whilst the City defence was slacking.
McLean was able to drift in from the edge of the box unmarked, due to City’s zonal marking system.

And speaking on Match of the Day, Shearer warned that this could be their downfall going forward.
“From Manchester City’s point of view, it was an absolute horror show defensively.
“Starting with a set piece again, it’s zonal marking. McLean again has a run at them from the edge of the box, and if you look at Rodri, Sterling and Walker, their body position is all wrong.
“Already, McLean is running on them, and they don’t know he’s coming.

“Norwich put in a brilliant ball, but not one of them attacks it before it’s too late.
“When you’re zonal marking, you’ve got to attack the ball, but they didn’t move. McLean ran from the edge of the area and before Rodri moved, it’s too late, in the back of the net.
“You can see, City’s weakness is set-pieces.
“It’s there, 29 goals conceded, 55 per-cent of them have been set-pieces.”
