Roy Keane says he will ‘NEVER forgive’ Sir Alex Ferguson
Legendary former Juventus boss Marcello Lippi claims he came inches away from agreeing a deal with Manchester United hero Roy Keane.
Lippi’s first stint at Juve ended on February 1999 before the Serie A giants collided with United in the Champions League semi-finals.
Keane orchestrated the Red Devils’ 3-2 comeback during the return fixture in Turin as he scored his team’s first goal after Filippo Inzaghi’s brace.
The former Republic of Ireland international, though, had already caught Lippi’s eye who tried to sign him during his two tenures with the Vecchia Signora.
“He was very close to moving to Juventus but then failed to negotiate.

“I also loved Scholes: he would have liked it anywhere and always played.
“Solskjaer was very good as a player and I hope he will do very well as a coach: he deserves it.”
Keane’s stunning 12-year stint with United came to an abrupt end in 2005, a year before his career ended.

It has been reported that the former captain was shown the door after a series of arguments with then manager Sir Alex Ferguson and his assistant Carlos Queiroz.
The Irishman also gave an explosive unaired interview on MUTV after a 4-1 loss to Middlesbrough where he blasted his team-mates and that forced the club’s hand.
Keane made 464 appearances for United and won seven Premier League titles as well as the 1999 Champions League trophy.
