Barcelona remains his most likely destination despite reported interest from there La Liga rivals Real Madrid.
Dybala, meanwhile, is seemingly surplus to requirements in Turin under new manager Maurizio Sarri.
He was heavily linked with Manchester United and Tottenham earlier in the summer but a deal was complicated by his enormous wage demands and the agents’ fees involved.
If he is sold, Dembele could come in as a direct replacement, although the winger is a slightly different player.

A super-quick winger, Dembele was one of the most highly-rated players in Europe when he moved to the Nou Camp in 2017.
However, he has sometimes struggled to live up to his reputation and Barca are reportedly keen to get him off their books.
He was also linked with PSG and it was suggested be could be included in the deal for Neymar to return to Barcelona.
Even if that does not happen, the pair’s future appear to be intrinsically linked.
PSG are looking to recoup all of the £200m they paid to sign Neymar two years ago.
Real Madrid are also said to be interested in him but they would need to include players in the deal having spent more than £200m on new players this summer.
