Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has goalkeeper crisis after Super Cup fan injures Adrian
LIVERPOOL manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed he has a goalkeeper crisis after a Super Cup supporter injured Adrian causing his ankle to swell.
Liverpool’s No 1 goalkeeper Alisson sustained a calf injury in the season-opening victory against Norwich.
Former West Ham shot stopper Adrian stepped in for the Super Cup win over Chelsea in midweek and saved the decisive penalty in the shootout.
However, Klopp claims a Liverpool supporter then injured their back-up keeper in the midst of the celebrations and he is a doubt for the trip to Southampton tomorrow.
"I don't understand why in the world of social media when we are all together, a supporter jumped over something and kicked [Adrian's] ankle,” Klopp said.
“It is swollen but we have to see.
"Apart from that it was a brilliant night for him.
“We love our fans, no doubt but if they could stop doing that.
“We played v City and someone ran on the pitch, streaker?

“Norwich, someone aswell. It's not funny. Like the girl in the Champions League final, she made money. What can we do?
“If the person cannot stop himself then the fans around him must. It is not funny. Wow! How can something like this happen?
“Adrian won’t go for a scan. We wait for the swelling to go down. The flight didn’t help but I saw him now, it looks better and make a decision.”
Klopp will likely have to choose between former Preston and Bolton keeper Andy Lonergan and 20-year-old Caoimhin Kelleher for tomorrow’s clash with Southampton.
"We need to think about Saturday to find a way to win the game,” Klopp said.
"Lonergan is in training with Kelleher and we have them if we have to make a decision.
“Adrian was a week before, Lonergan has trained with us.
"Kelleher has potential but is not 100 per cent yet. We will see."

When pressed further on Adrian’s injury, Klopp fumed about pitch invaders.
“You see a man with his d*** swinging around. Who wants to see that?” said Klopp.
“We have the Adrian incident which is serious for us, but if you ask anyone involved in football if you find it funny that someone runs on the pitch, pants down, half-naked, no-one would say, ‘oh yes, that is really nice’, because you never know who it is there. Before the season at the Premier League meeting they told us do not get involved with anything like that, but we are all human beings and if they get close you do not know the person and for us it is not funny. It is still happening. It looks like it is happening a bit more often. I do not know exactly how much it has happened in the Premier League since I was here.”
