The Ivory Coast international was finally unveiled as a Gunners play on Thursday, two days after the deal was believed to be completed behind closed doors.
Pepe and his entourage jetted to London earlier in the week to undergo a medical and sign the contract on Tuesday.
There is one player in particular that Pepe cannot wait to play alongside at the Emirates Stadium, as he revealed his excitement ahead of his new adventure in the Premier League.
“When I knew I was coming to Arsenal, I immediately thought of the French guys who play here," Pepe told Arsenal.com.
"I thought of Ozil, the world champions, Lacazette, Aubameyang and many more.
“Of course, these are the players who sprang to mind because I used to watch them when I was at Lille.
"Also, Lacazette used to play for Lyon and so I have had the opportunity to play against him. It will be an honour to play alongside him."
Lacazette will be able to help Pepe settle in at the club and with the language, as the Frenchman enters his third season in north London.

Arsenal fans will be licking their lips at the prospect of seeing Pepe partner both Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in attack.
Premier League defences will be running scared at the trio, who could rival Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane for being the best attack in the division.
The 24-year-old becomes the club’s record signing for a fee of £72million.
Many were confused as to how Emirates chiefs were able to afford a deal after it was claimed they had a budget of just £40m this summer.
