Big Frank Lampard worry revealed at Chelsea - ‘a disaster waiting to happen’
CHELSEA are a disaster waiting to happen under Frank Lampard, claims Liverpool legend Steve Nicol.
Chelsea are a 'disaster waiting to happen' says Nicol
Lampard is preparing for his first season of management in the Premier League.
He is unable to make any new signings this summer due to the transfer ban Chelsea are currently caught up in.
But that has not stopped the Blues losing their top scorer from last season in Eden Hazard, who has joined Real Madrid.
Nicol is worried where Chelsea’s goals are going to come from under Lampard.
I’m worried for Chelsea. I’m certainly worried for Frank
So he predicts a difficult first season for the former midfielder at Stamford Bridge.
“I’m worried for Chelsea,” Nicol said on ESPN FC.
“I’m certainly worried for Frank.
“Whoever manages Chelsea, it’s going to be tough for them.
“But Frank’s under so much pressure with it being his first job and with not being able to go and sign anybody, that’s a disaster waiting to happen. It is all about goals.
“From the back to the middle you know exactly what you’re going to get from Chelsea.
“But where’s the goals coming from?
“[Olivier] Giroud, he can’t score goals for France and they’re arguably the best team in the world and he starts every game.

“Willian, he certainly hasn’t been scoring enough recently.
“You’ve got Pedro who you can’t rely on.
“It’s unfair to think that [Christian] Pulisic is going to come in and hit the ground running and be jinking down the wing and scoring goals as well.
“I am absolutely genuinely worried for Frank because I just don’t see where the goals are coming from.”
