Eddie Nketiah sends message to Arsenal fans after late winner against Bayern Munich
ARSENAL starlet Eddie Nketiah has sent a message to Gunners fans after he scored a late winner for Unai Emery’s team in their opening pre-season friendly against Bayern Munich, in the International Champions Cup.

Eddie Nketiah thanked Arsenal fans for their support in Los Angeles, following their opening International Champions Cup match against Bayern Munich.
The Gunners beat Bayern 2-1 in a thrilling opening fixture, with Nketiah scoring a late winner to secure their first three points of the competition.
Taking to Twitter, the 20-year-old said the Arsenal support was “unreal” in LA.
He was also delighted to pick up the Man of the Match award after his 88th minute winner.
Man of the Match; can’t complain
“[Feeling] great, man,” said Nketiah. “Man of the Match; can’t complain.”
Nketiah scored with a toe-poked finish in the closing minutes of the match.
The substitute had another effort blocked just moments before he found the finish, while credit should also go to Tyreece John-Jules for picking out Nketiah from the byline.
Arsenal took the lead shortly after the start of the second half, after 18-year-old Bayern defender Louis Poznanski put the ball into his own net from a dangerous Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang cross.
The Gunners had numerous chances to extend their lead - namely for Aubameyang and Reiss Nelson - but they were soon punished for not taking those chances.
Robert Lewandowski was left unmarked in the box, and subsequently scored with a powerful header.
It appeared that the match was heading for a 1-1 draw, before Nketiah managed to fire Arsenal into the lead.
The Gunners now top the table after the opening two matches of the International Champions Cup, leapfrogging Fiorentina, who beat Guadalajara 2-1 yesterday.
Speaking after the match, Arsenal boss Emery said there’s always space in the starting line-up for young talent.
“Our responsibility in this club - for the history, present and future - is to give young players a chance,” he said.
“If they deserve minutes, they'll get minutes. I'm very happy with them.”
Arsenal’s next pre-season friendly is against Fiorentina on Saturday night (July 20), in Charlotte, North Carolina.
