Angel Gomes, Mason Greenwood, Tahith Chong and James Garner were all present as they look to build on the first-team experience they picked up under Solskjaer last season.
They were joined by Welsh teenager Dylan Levitt as well as 20-year-old Ethan Hamilton and will all be hoping to travel with Manchester United to their pre-season tour in Australia this Sunday.
Midfielders Gomes and Garner made three and one Premier League appearances respectively last season whereas striker Greenwood and winger Chong played five times between them in the top flight.
Levitt and Hamilton, who spent the second half of last term on loan to Rochdale, both play in midfield and will be hoping for a breakout season.
If they travel to Oceania with the rest of the team they could feature in matches against Perth Glory and Leeds in Australia.
They could also be part of the Red Devils’ next games with Inter Milan in Singapore and Premier League rivals Tottenham in Shanghai.
United’s training also included Jesse Lingard, Romelu Lukaku and Scott McTominay who all returned from international duty with England, Belgium and Scotland respectively.
But Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford, Daniel James and David De Gea will come back to Carrington later this week.
The club’s most recent signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka was absent as he only just finished his international duty with England Under-21s last Monday.
Wan-Bissaka, though, is expected to fly to Australia with the rest of the squad in the weekend.
United signed the right-back from Crystal Palace for £50m in an attempt to boost their defence.
They are now looking to add in more quality to their backline as they made an increased bid of £70m to Leicester for Harry Maguire.
Solskjær’s side finished sixth last season following a turbulent start under Jose Mourinho.
United improved under the guidance of the Norwegian club legend but still failed to make it to the top four that would have earned them a Champions League spot.
