When Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will bid for Newcastle ace Sean Longstaff
MANCHESTER UNITED will make an official transfer bid for Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff this week, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer turns his attention to midfield.
Sean Longstaff: Man United fan discusses transfer rumours
Man United have been targeting a move for the 21-year-old since the end of the season.
Now, Solskjaer plans to make a first formal approach for Longstaff, after wrapping up a deal for Wan-Bissaka, according to The Telegraph.
It is believed any deal for the starlet would cost in excess of £25m, and the United boss wants a deal wrapped up by Sunday - when the squad leaves for a pre-season tour of Australia.
The club held talks with his representatives on Monday, and everything is agreed with the player.
Now, United just need to agree a fee for the player, and a deal could cost more than £50m.
If the deal were to break down, it’s believed Solskjaer is also keen on Atletico Madrid central midfielder Saul Niguez.
