Arsenal: 'No brainer' that club should keep Aubameyang says fan
Arsenal hitman Aubameyang has been linked with a sensational move away from the club this transfer window.
The Gabon international was the north London giants’ top scorer last season, hitting an impressive 31 goals from 51 games across all competitions.
Teams from the Chinese Super League would love to sign Aubameyang, while Manchester United have also emerged as potential suitors should Romelu Lukaku leave.
Arsenal are keen to splash the cash this summer with Celtic’s Tierney one of the players on their radar.
And journalist Duncan Castles believes Arsenal may lose their star performer in order to land players like Tierney this summer.
“We’ve mentioned before the Chinese interest in Aubameyang and the possibility that Arsenal might choose to cash in on a player like Aubameyang, who’s paid very highly on their wage scale, to create room and to deal elsewhere - which seems bizarre given he finished as the Premier League’s joint top-scorer,” he said on The Transfer Window podcast.
“But I think it is an indication of where Arsenal are financially.
“And for that reason, and also I think that Kieran Tierney has had injury problems last season, he’s had a persistent hip situation that he’s had to have an operation on, I think it might well be difficult for Celtic to secure that full asking price for a player who has that question mark over his recovery and who may resist the move himself.
“So let’s see where Celtic are prepared to compromise on a fee and how far Arsenal can go spending on that one position.
“Also let’s see if another of the Premier League clubs who have been monitoring Tierney for some time now are prepared to move into the market now they see another opportunity to buy him.

Celtic boss Neil Lennon expects bids for Tierney this summer.
"I would expect bids,” the Hoops manager said.
“We’re realistic and I’d be surprised if there weren’t any offers for them, put it that way because they’re both extremely talented players.
“So I may have a decision to make but there’s been nothing for us to think about yet. For someone so young, Kieran already has vast experience – he’s played Champions League, Europa League, internationals and he’s won trophies.
“I don’t think he would fear going anywhere but, personally, it would be a wrench for him because the club means so much to him.”
