MANCHESTER UNITED boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is worried about losing Marcus Rashford on a free transfer as his contract runs down to its final year, it’s been claimed.

Solskjaer is keen to tie up a contract with Rashford as he enters the final year of his current deal.
He’s desperate to keep hold of the England international, and fears he could leave on a free transfer is a deal isn’t agreed soon.
Manchester United have confirmed they’ll be triggering the one-year extension to Rashford’s contract before the end of the summer, according to The Sun.

“We will trigger the option in his deal some time during this summer window,” said an Old Trafford source.
“He is not being sold to anyone under any circumstances though, despite talks going on for a fair while now.
“We know there’s lots of interest in him, that’s obvious. They’ll also be sizeable offers for him as well.
“We’re confident he wants to sign but we have to be firm and we expect this all to be sorted in the next few weeks.

“Ole wants him fully focused on his football and wants the speculation to end around him as soon as possible.
“We know the extra year gives us some breathing space to sort this out and a bit of an insurance policy.”
Rashford is currently on a £180,000-a-week deal, but he’s holding out or a big pay rise.
The 21-year-old is reportedly demanding a giant £350,000-a-week contract.
