The Premier League fixtures are out and fans are already planning their away day trips as they get ready for the upcoming 2019/20 campaign.
However, following a top-flight team is a huge commitment both financially and physically with some supporters sacrificing huge amounts of time and money to back their club.
Green Flag have crunched the numbers to find out which fans are hit hardest, with the breakdown cover provider analysing distance travelled and money spent on petrol.
And it turns out Newcastle fans are unsurprisingly those most out of pocket with the north east club having to travel nearly 9,000 miles to make all their away matches.
Such imposing distances mean the Magpies faithful will spend over £1,750 on petrol if each supporter drove individually to games.
At the other end of the scale, Premier League returnees Aston Villa will need to travel just 4,026 miles which translates to a cost of £793.71 in petrol money.
West Ham are the worst affected London club, while Green Flag also conducted research to find out which fans spend the most of their annual salary on petrol – with Arsenal coming out best with just 2.91 per cent of their income going on fuel.
The Gunners are set to travel 4,257 miles, costing £837.93, but how does the rest of the top-flight compare?
