The Mirror reckon Tottenham have indicated to Barcelona that they no longer possess an interest in getting Gomes on board.
That’s come after Tottenham decided to switch their priorities, with Giovani Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele believed to be in their sights.
Tottenham’s revelation, alongside Gomes’ rejection of West Ham, has cleared the way for Everton to sign the 25-year-old permanently.
Gomes was a fulcrum of Marco Silva’s midfield this season as he starred alongside the combative presence of Idrissa Gueye.

And he is now said to have informed the Toffees he wants to join them on a full-time deal ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.
Everton are hoping to pay around £20m to secure Gomes’ services as they seek to improve on this season’s eighth-place finish.
And they will use Gomes’ determination to put pen to paper with them to try and stop Barcelona asking for more money.
Tottenham could still, however, do some business with Barcelona as Pochettino splashes the cash for the first time since January 2018.
