Tottenham transfer news: How starting XI could look with four signings but without Eriksen
TOTTENHAM are faced with potentially losing Christian Eriksen during the summer transfer window, but how could Spurs line up without the Dane next season?
Tottenham may be forced into the transfer market this summer as they look to strengthen following their Champions League final defeat to Liverpool.
Spurs slipped to a 2-0 loss against the Reds in Madrid as their lack of squad depth was exposed, particularly when Harry Kane played the full 90 minutes while well short of match fitness.
Tottenham haven’t signed any players since the arrival of Lucas Moura from Paris Saint-Germain in January 2018 and now run the risk of being left behind by their Premier League rivals unless they bolster their options
Funds should be available to manager Mauricio Pochettino following the completion of the club’s world class new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, although much of his transfer kitty may have to be spent on a replacement for Eriksen.
Tottenham have already approached Real Betis with a £53million bid for Giovanni Lo Celso, who could come straight into the side as a direct replacement.
Meanwhile, Kieran Trippier’s future at the club is in doubt with Napoli interested in the England full-back despite a poor season in north London.
Crystal Palace youngster Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been identified as a likely replacement, although Manchester United are also monitoring the 21-year-old.

Toby Alderweireld is entering the final year of his current deal and is now available for £25million due to a clause in his contract, with a move to Old Trafford mooted.
Spurs were in for Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek back in January and could return for the Dutchman who would partner either Moussa Sissoko or Eric Dier in central midfield.
Meanwhile, Pochettino must also be sure to keep prize assets Dele Alli, Son Heung-min and Kane if his side wants to compete on multiple fronts once again.
