"But he is not my player, he is at Manchester.
"He has always said that, after Manchester, Madrid has always interested him. So when his experience at Manchester ends, why not come here to Madrid?"
Kitromilides says it is unusual for Zidane to publicly praise a player and he reckons the signing of the Manchester United star would go down well at the Bernabeu.
“Paul Pogba is a player that Zinedine Zidane has publicly said he likes, and he doesn’t normally go into how much he likes players when he’s asked about them, so a lot of people read quite a bit into his comments,” he told talkSPORT.

“He is a player who, certainly from a PR perspective, would go down well with a section of fans who are asking for blockbuster signings after what has been a very disappointing season for Real Madrid.
“They finished third in La Liga, 19 points behind Barcelona, and went out of the Champions League and Copa del Rey.
“They haven’t won anything and fans are demanding signings.
“With Pogba, I don’t know where he might fit in on the pitch, because Real Madrid also have quite a lot of good midfielders.
“But in terms of that PR exercise, he would be a big, big name and would probably cost a lot of money as well.
