Manchester United urged to complete ‘perfect’ mega-money transfer
MANCHESTER UNITED selling Paul Pogba to Real Madrid would be perfect for all three parties, claims former Arsenal midfielder Stewart Robson.
Pogba to Real Madrid would be 'perfect all round' says pundit
Pogba is linked with a move to Real Madrid after an indifferent season on and off the pitch at Manchester United.
The Frenchman excelled under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the early part of the Norwegian’s reign after falling out with previous boss Jose Mourinho.
But, like United, Pogba ended the season poorly and with many doubting his long-term future at the club.
The 26-year-old has previously stated it would be a dream for any player to play for Real Madrid and under manager Zinedine Zidane.
It would be perfect for Paul Pogba, I think it would be perfect for Real Madrid
Robson says Pogba is nowhere near the player he was at Juventus when United signed him for a then world-record £89million.
So he reckons it would be good for everyone if the midfielder moved on to the Bernabeu in this window.
“It would be perfect all round,” Robson told ESPN FC.
“It would be perfect for Paul Pogba, I think it would be perfect for Real Madrid.
“And at Manchester United we haven’t seen the best of him.
“There’s something not quite right at Manchester United with him.
“I saw him at Juventus for years where he was absolutely outstanding.
“There wasn’t one thing he couldn’t do in that midfield position.
“Whether it be attacking, whether it be defending, heading the ball.
“He hasn’t done that at Manchester United and there must be a reason why.
“You can’t quite put your finger on it.
“But I think it would be a great move for all three.”
