Steve Nicol makes Harry Kane Champions League prediction - 'Liverpool will be 2-0 up…'
LIVERPOOL legend Steve Nicol has revealed his prediction for the Champions League final between his former side and Tottenham.
Liverpool will WIN Champions League claims Steve Nicol
Liverpool face Tottenham at Atletico Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano Stadium on Saturday.
It is Spurs’ first Champions League final, whereas the Reds are looking for their sixth European triumph.
Nicol, who won the European Cup with Liverpool in 1984, will be travelling to Spain on Thursday to be in attendance for the showpiece match.
He is confident his former side will get the job done, 12 months after they lost to Real Madrid in the final in Kiev.
Harry Kane will come on for the last 10 minutes and score and then we’ll be biting our nails, hanging on
However, he can see Harry Kane making an immediate impact on his return for Tottenham, scoring from the bench to give Liverpool a nervy last few minutes.
When asked his prediction, Nicol responded: “Have a guess.
“I’m going to say 2-1 Liverpool.
“Oh definitely [it will be dramatic].
“Liverpool will be 2-0 up with 10 minutes to go.
“Harry Kane will come on for the last 10 minutes and score and then we’ll be biting our nails, hanging on.
“We’ll win 2-1.”
Kane has been out with an ankle injury since early April and has declared himself fit for the match.
"I feel good," Kane said.
”I’m back with the team. I did a lot of work on my own to get me into a good place to go back with the team.
“Since I’ve been with them, I’ve been full training, doing everything.
“I’m at a place now where I’m ready to go for any game but again, it’s down to the manager."
