The Old Trafford club are targeting a new centre-back, midfield reinforcements and fresh attacking impetus, but who will be shown the door before fresh faces arrive?
Will leave a huge hole in the Red Devils midfield and the Old Trafford hierarchy have missed a trick, refusing to meet his wage demands.
Antonio Valencia
The Ecuadorian has been at the club since 2009 and was given a farewell appearance in the final Premier League match of the season.
Solskjaer has already confirmed Valencia will be moving on, having been sidelined for much of the Norwegian’s tenure due to injury.

Juan Mata
The Spaniard is out of contract in July and is yet to agree new terms, although he has been used frequently under Solskjaer this term.
Mata is now 30 but reportedly wants assurances about his playing time before signing on the dotted line, which may not materialise.
Ashley Young
Given a contract extension in the summer and still earning £110,000-a-week but has been poor at right-back and is not secure in the side.
His wages will put off potential suitors but United will surely be keen to listen to offers with Diogo Dalot a long-term prospect on the right side of defence.

Marcos Rojo
Struggled badly with injury in recent campaigns and is not reliable enough to be utilised regularly in central defence.
Contracted until 2021 but one of the most likely to leave this summer.
Matteo Darmian
The Italian has failed to make an impression at Old Trafford since his move from Torino in 2015, although his versatility was valued by Jose Mourinho.
A one-year option was triggered on his contract in January amid interest from Juventus, who could return for the full-back.
The stopper has refused to put pen to paper on a new £350,000–a-week deal from United, and it remains to be seen whether he will turn out at Old Trafford again.

Romelu Lukaku
Struggling to fit into Solskjaer’s style of play out of favour in recent weeks after some injury issues.
United will likely look to sell if any parties are interested, and they can recoup some of the £90million (including add-ons) they paid Everton.
Offloading the forward would free up the wage bill dramatically, although United may have to accept a loan deal before any club will be convinced to shell out for him.

Nemanja Matic
The Serbian has looked increasingly out of his depth as the season has progressed, with Matic only really effective when deployed in a three-man midfield.
The 30-year-old has another year left on his contract and with other departures he may well see out his deal, although any offer is likely to be seriously considered.
