Leroy Sane, Dele Alli, Gabriel Jesus could have joined Manchester United - Kitson
MANCHESTER UNITED could have signed any player that has arrived in the Premier League in recent years - but a “broken” recruitment process stopped them from picking off the best talent.
Dele Alli, if they wanted him, £5m, they could have had him
Dave Kitson on Manchester United
Kitson says top Premier League players such as Tottenham’s Dele Alli and Manchester City duo Leroy Sane and Gabriel Jesus should have been on United’s radar before they joined their respective clubs.
And he reckons it is a “danger” for United if executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is in charge of incomings again this summer.
“A good example of how broken the network is at Manchester United and the structure is if you look in the Premier League in general and you look at perhaps Spurs and you look at Liverpool, and even City, there isn’t a single player in this league that Manchester United could not have signed at one time or another,” Kitson told Stadium Astro.

“They could have had Sane, they could have had Gabriel Jesus.
“They could have had anybody that anyone else has signed in this league and they haven’t.
“They’ve gone down the wrong road and this is the result. I totally believe it.
“Forget City, Manchester United have got the biggest chequebook in the Premier League, probably in world football.
