Spending spree depends on striker duo
Jurgen Klopp’s summer transfer business at Liverpool will depend on the future of two players, according to club hero John Barnes.
“The summer transfer window for Liverpool will depend on Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi staying,” he told BonusCodeBets.co.uk.
“When you look at Joe Gomez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain returning to the team, they won’t need to bring anyone in.
“It won’t surprise me if Liverpool don’t make a major signing.
“The fans and club trust in what Klopp is doing, so there won’t be any disappointment if he doesn’t sign anyone.”
Barcelona to progress - Jose
Liverpool will not make a miraculous recovery against Barcelona and Lionel Messi in the Champions League, says former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho.
“When the result was 2-0, I was still thinking it's open,” he told Russia Today. “When they missed that late chance for the 3-1, I would say open, but 3-0 is 3-0.
“It's hard to believe and Barcelona have an incredibly negative experience with Roma recently.
“I know that Liverpool at Anfield is really hard, the team is good, but if Barcelona score one goal, they have to concede five.
“I think it's too much and I think the team (Barcelona) is with that appetite. I think Messi is dragging everybody with him for that appetite to make it happen. I think Barcelona has it.”

The replacement…
Jurgen Klopp believes academy graduate Rhian Brewster can succeed Daniel Sturridge as Roberto Firmino’s understudy next season.
Sturridge’s contract expires in the summer and the former England international is not likely to be offered an extension.
That is mainly because Klopp feels he already has a capable replacement in Brewster, according to The Times.
Brewster made headlines at the Under-17 World Cup in October 2017 when he took home the Golden Boot award for his eight strikes which helped England claim glory in India.
Klopp has been “excited” about the innate talent since November 2016, when he scored a hat-trick against Accrington Stanley in a behind-closed-doors game, the report states.
