Lionel Messi goal: David de Gea Man Utd howler TORN APART by pundit
LIONEL MESSI, unsurprisingly, opened the scoring for Barcelona in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie against Manchester United.

Lionel Messi bagged the first goal of the evening in the 16th minute with a scintillating left-footed finish from outside of the box.
And just two minutes after putting a huge dent in Manchester United’s hopes of reaching their first Champions League semi-final since 2011, the Argentina international doubled the home side's advantage on the night.
Messi’s first goal was an absolute pearler which United stopper David de Gea was powerless to stop.
His second, however, was gifted to him by the Spaniard, who let a right-footed shot slip through his grasp and into the back of the net.
BBC pundit Robbie Savage had a first-hand view of the howler and couldn’t believe his eyes.
The Welshman said: “Oh no no no. David de Gea.
“It was such a weak effort from Lionel Messi and it just trickles under De Gea. Game over.”
Although Messi’s first goal came from a spectacular strike, it was derived from a poor clearance from Ashley Young.

Robbie Savage on David de Gea's error for Lionel Messi's second goal
Savage said: “Ashley Young tried to clear it and he had loads of time.
“His clearance gets deflected then he misses the tackle against Lionel Messi.
“The Argentine uses Chris Smalling as a shield and he bends it around him.
"I'm sorry, but Young has to do better as Messi produces once again.”
