He’s thrown himself to the ground ridiculously, I don’t want to see it from him
Danny Murphy on Liverpool star Mohamed Salah
Despite his love for Liverpool, Murphy could not defend what Salah did.
“I knew you’d have to ask me this,” the former midfielder said.
“Do you know what, I don’t like seeing this at all.
“And whether there’s a slight touch or not, it doesn’t bother me, because he shouldn’t go down the way he does.

Mohamed Salah went down dramatically under a challenge from Chelsea defender David Luiz (Image: GETTY)
“You can talk about whether it should be a booking or whether it shouldn’t and ’he’s entitled to go down because he got a touch’.
“He’s thrown himself to the ground ridiculously, I don’t want to see it from him, I don’t want to see it from anyone, not just him.
“What you don’t want to do is start losing your best player for things like that, that’s all.
“But it’s not about Salah, it’s about any player. We don’t want to see that anymore.”
But former Arsenal defender Martin Keown disagreed and instead criticised Luiz for the challenge.
