LIVERPOOL boss Jurgen Klopp has praised Mohamed Salah and Jordan Henderson after his side’s 2-0 win over Chelsea at Anfield.
Liverpool: Klopp is DISAPPOINTED with Naby Keita says pundit
Liverpool manager Klopp saw his side beat Chelsea 2-0 at Anfield on Sunday afternoon, with Salah and Sadio Mane on target.
Mane opened the scoring shortly after half time, rising to head home a splendid cross from Henderson in front of the Kop end.
Salah then struck Liverpool’s second of the game with a rocket shot that soared well beyond the reach of Kepa Arrizabalaga in the Chelsea goal.
And Klopp, speaking to Sky Sports after the game, praised Salah for his stunning effort.
"A brilliant goal, world-class,” said the German.
“A really, really, good goal from our side. It was a brilliant goal in all departments."
Klopp also lauded Henderson, who produced a tenacious display.
"I only know Stevie [Gerrard] as a person - I've no idea about his leadership skills,” he said.
“Hendo is a fantastic skipper for this club - I've said it from the first day.
“There was not one part of him that was not important.
“In the last three games he's obviously on fire which is good."
Klopp also believes Liverpool were good value for their win.
Chelsea looked dangerous either side of the goals but, with Eden Hazard wasteful, were unable to capitalise.
And Klopp said: "It was a really good game, difficult against strong opponents.
“I thought we dominated in areas. The rhythm was really good.
“We tried, created, passed and shot - we did pretty much everything.
"We have to try at least [to win all remaining games].
“We respect all opponents so much. We know about Cardiff's fight against relegation.
"Today was very, very important because Chelsea are so strong.
“What we did today to win that game was amazing."
