Man Utd vs West Ham: Solskjaer reacts to 2-1 victory
Manchester United started the game in sloppy fashion but were able to nab a goal through Paul Pogba midway through the first half.
Juan Mata was hauled down by Robert Snodgrass just inside the area, leaving referee Graham Scott no option but to give a penalty.
Paul Pogba stepped up and scored but United’s optimism took a hit just five minutes into the second half.
Felipe Anderson was left unmarked at the back post to tap in before a second Pogba penalty secured an important three points.
Here are Express Sport’s Man Utd player ratings:
David de Gea - 7
The Spaniard didn’t have much to do but failed to keep out a tame Anderson effort out before making a superb save from Michail Antonio.
Marcos Rojo - 5 (Andreas Pereira - sub)
It was obvious the Argentine tried his best to impress boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but was left wanting at times down the left hand side.
Chris Smalling - 6
Smalling was probably United’s best defender but let West Ham players into threatening positions a few times.
Phil Jones - 5
Jones left some of West Ham’s attackers unmarked at times and looked a little ragged at the back.
Diogo Dalot - 7
Looked promising in his favoured right-back position just as he did against Barcelona in midweek.
Paul Pogba - 8
Managed to make important tackles on Anderson and scored the two vital penalties which earned Man Utd victory.
Jesse Lingard - 5
Looked a little leggy and failed to make an impact during his 90 minutes.

Juan Mata - 4 (Marcus Rashford - sub)
Apart from winning the penalty, Mata wasn’t great in the middle of the park and was the first player to be subbed by Solskjaer.
Romelu Lukaku - 5 (Mason Greenwood - sub)
Not through any fault of his own, Lukaku failed to receive any decent service and was subbed for Greenwood with 15 minutes to go.
Anthony Martial - 7
Looked one of United’s most threatening players and won the penalty which led to Pogba’s second goal.
