Man Utd boss Solskjaer reveals what he said to Messi
Manchester United boss Solskjaer is set to overhaul his squad at the end of the season, as he targets a first Premier League title for the club since 2013.
The Red Devils have failed to win the prize under David Moyes, Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho in the years since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement.
And Solskjaer has already promised he will have a ‘strong’ Manchester United squad for next season.
Express Sport understands the Norwegian is likely to embark on a mass culling when the transfer window reopens.
And he is also primed to splash the cash with Ed Woodward likely to give him in excess of £200million to use on reinforcements.
It is understood that Solskjaer and the United recruitment team are already monitoring players for his United revolution.
Jadon Sancho, of Borussia Dortmund, is likely to cost around £100m given incredible rise with the Bundesliga outfit.
But United may be prepared to pay it given their need for more stardust going forward after the struggles of Alexis Sanchez.
Chelsea and West Ham youngsters Callum Hudson-Odoi and Declan Rice are also admired by Solskjaer as he looks to build a British core similar to the glory days under Ferguson.
