Chelsea hero Demba Ba RINSES Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard over infamous 2014 slip
CHELSEA hero Demba Ba has admitted he did not feel sorry for Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard after his infamous slip in 2014.

Chelsea fans will always look at Ba’s time at Stamford Bridge with fondness because of how he scuppered Liverpool’s chances of Premier League title glory five years ago.
The 33-year-old found the net in a 2-0 victory over the Reds at Anfield in 2014, capitalising on a slip from Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.
And now, speaking ahead of the showdown between the two teams on Sunday, Ba has admitted he felt no sympathy for Gerrard in the aftermath of the game.
“I didn’t feel sorry for him,” the Senegal international told The Sun.
“I’m not a Steven Gerrard supporter. I’m not a Liverpool supporter.
“I’m not a Man City supporter or happy that they won the league.
“It’s all part of the game. It’s the same as Crystal Palace last year when they were safe and had nothing to play for, they went and played at Stoke and sent them down by winning.
“You go and do your job, you go to win.”
Ba also scored another huge goal for Chelsea, despite spending just two years in west London.
The Senegal forward bagged a late winner as the Blues rocked PSG in the Champions League in 2014.
And Ba also remembers that goal fondly, saying: “When you talk about the one I scored against Paris, it’s great because it was the goal that took us to the semi-finals of the Champions League.
“It is something that is great and more memorable to me.
“But that goal at Anfield hasn’t brought anything to us apart from to beat Liverpool away.
“It didn’t get us to another stage, it didn’t make us win the league or whatever.
“It’s like any other normal goal I would have scored.”
Liverpool go into their Premier League clash with Chelsea on Sunday (4.30pm) having lost just once in the league so far.
That was against Manchester City, with Sergio Aguero and Leroy Sane both finding the net that day.
Chelsea, meanwhile, will enter the game having lost their last league outing to Everton last weekend.
