Bale joined up with Ryan Giggs’ team this week for their friendly with Trinidad and Tobago, as they prepare for a Euro 2020 qualifier with Slovakia on Sunday.
But the 29-year-old was not on the field at Wrexham’s Racecourse Ground.
Instead, he was spotted in the stands singing the national anthem as the teams prepared for kick off.
Bale has been omitted from the squad for this friendly - no doubt to ensure he is 100 per cent ready for the Slovakia clash.

Real Madrid: Gareth Bale has 'no intention' of leaving says expert
Wales are desperate to repeat their Euro 2016 exploits where they reached the semi-finals of the competition in France.
They failed to qualify for last summer’s World Cup but are expected to make it to Euro 2020.
Meanwhile, Giggs has reacted to the news Aaron Ramsey - also out of today’s game - has agreed to join Juventus at the end of the season.
Giggs said of the Arsenal man: "You've seen what going abroad has done for Gareth. It will be a great experience for Aaron.
"Look at the facilities Juventus have got, they are a massive club, the biggest in Italy."
