Champions League: Ajax fans MOCK Real Madrid during defeat
It’s been a brilliant week for the Catalans after they succumbed their El Clasico rivals to two defeat at the Santiago Bernabeu.
First they dismantled Real Madrid 3-0 in the second leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final.
Then on Saturday Ivan Rakitic scored the winner to tighten Barcelona’s grip on the La Liga title.
Now twelve points behind in the title race, Santiago Solari’s troops seemingly only had the Champions League left to play for, a competition most of the squad have had a rich history with.
But last night they were embarrassed 4-1 by Ajax on their own patch ending their hopes of a fourth successive Champions League title.
Luis Suarez won the Eredivisie title with the Amsterdam club before joining Liverpool in 2011.
Therefore the Uruguayan couldn’t help but celebrate when his former side ran riot in the Spanish capital.
He quote tweeted the official Ajax account who had posted a picture of the team celebrating the victory, saying: “Congratulations! I am always an Ajax fan” with clapping emojis.

The 32-year-old recently said that he is hoping to see out the rest of his career at the Camp Nou.
But Ajax’s sporting director and former Barcelona winger Marc Overmars has made it clear he’d welcome the star back to the Johan Cruyff Arena.
“Suarez can come back to Ajax,” he told VTV Uruguay.
Real Madrid clash was Ajax's 'easiest game of season' says pundit
“The doors are always open here. I hope they replace him!
“No, I'm joking, but if he was really interested in coming back to Ajax, I would go to Barcelona the next day to speak with him.
“I think one of Suarez's biggest qualities is his mentality. The power to win, to score goals... he is one of the best in the world.”
Ajax now await their fate in the quarter-finals draw which takes place on Friday March 15.
