Heung-Min Son: Jermaine Jenas makes Harry Kane claim about Tottenham star
HEUNG-MIN SON is as important for Tottenham as star striker Harry Kane.
Tottenham: Heung-min Son reflects on Dortmund performance
That is according to BT Sport pundit and former Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas.
Son has been in sensational form this season for Spurs, scoring 11 goals and assisting five in the Premier League.
That is despite the South Korea star missing parts of the campaign for international duty.
He has recently returned to Spurs following his country’s exit from the Asian Cup.
The team miss him just as much as they miss Harry Kane when he’s not there
Son has scored three goals in as many league games to help lessen the effect of Kane being out injured.
But Jenas claims the 26-year-old has now proven himself to be as important as the England captain.
“Whatever he does with his right foot with pace, he can do with his left foot with pace,” Jenas said.
“The team miss him just as much as they miss Harry Kane when he’s not there.
“I would go as far as to say that because the pace that he brings, the runs in behind, and the amount of goals.
“He chips in with his fair amount of goals as well.
“The big think you see with Son is he feels like one of the main men now.
“That is why he is delivering.”
Former Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp says Son is a manager’s dream.
“He is [a manager’s dream],” Redknapp said.
“He can play in several positions, never stops working, never stops running.
“Just an amazing talent and what a great guy he looks doesn’t he.
“You tell him to go play anywhere and he will just get on with it and do a job.”
