Jesse Lingard injury: Man Utd suffer blow as ace limps off in PSG showdown
JESSE LINGARD limped off for Manchester United against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League this evening.
The England international was replaced by Alexis Sanchez with just seconds remaining in the first half.
Lingard was holding his left hamstring as he exited the Old Trafford pitch clearly disappointed he couldn't carry on in the Champions League encounter.
The score was 0-0 at half-time after a tense first half which saw few chances created by either side.
United fans will be desperate to see a good performance from Sanchez as Lingard was one of the brightest sparks for the Red Devils in the opening 45 minutes.
Lingard wasn't the only injury concern for United as Anthony Martial looked to suffer a knock in the first half.
The France international was removed at half-time with Juan Mata replacing him.
Lingard will now be a doubt for upcoming matches against Chelsea in the FA Cup and the Premier League showdown with Liverpool.
The England star has made 26 appearances in all competitions this season.
