Arsenal boss Unai Emery is to blame for the team's poor away form, believes Martin Keown (Image: Getty)
That is the opinion of former Arsenal defender Martin Keown.
Arsenal have not won an away league fixture since late November, enduring a six-game spell in which they have drawn two and lost four.
After losing his first two league games in charge, Emery went on a 14-game unbeaten run in the top-flight.
That seems to have raised expectations in north London, however, with the Spanish coach now being asked questions about his decision-making amid a rough patch.
Despite big home wins over Tottenham and Chelsea, the side seem to be lulling into the ilk of defensive lapses which became a striking negative of Wenger’s late reign.
The club appointed Emery with the intention to start competing at a top level come the 2019/20 season, understanding it would take one campaign for Emery to trim the fat and implement his philosophy.
Arsenal currently sit sixth in the league, three points off fourth-placed Chelsea, and next travel to Huddersfield on Saturday.
Emery could not have asked for a better opponent to end their away rot against, with the Terriers picking up the fewest amount of points at home this season.

Teams cannot build any rhythm if the manager keeps tinkering
“Teams cannot build any rhythm if the manager keeps tinkering.
“With Arsenal going to Huddersfield [on Saturday], Emery should go with winning 4-3-1-2 formula he uses at the Emirates.”
Whatever the formation, the Gunners’ mettle will be tested at the John Smith’s Stadium, where rain and up to 49mph wind is expected before kick-off.
