“The two clubs are close to agreement on a loan deal with an option for Villa to buy him in summer. #wbafc and #dcfc among others were interested.”
Villa have made two signings this month, bringing Kortney Hause and Lovre Kalinic to the club.

Manager Dean Smith is also looking to enhance his midfield before tonight’s transfer deadline (11pm).
Reports suggest he still wants two other signings to bolster his midfield.
Newcastle’s Isaac Hayden and Watford star Nathaniel Chalobah are also believed to be wanted by Villa.
The signing of Hayden could depend on Newcastle completing a deal for Benfica ace Andreas Samaris.
