Chelsea: Abramovich FORCED Torres transfer reveals Burley
Chelsea battled their way past Tottenham and into the Carabao Cup final on a tense evening of football at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues struck two early goals courtesy of N’Golo Kante and Eden Hazard as they blew their city rivals away.
And Hazard, with a performance full of attacking intent and purpose, was back to his blockbuster best.
His performance against Tottenham makes you think: What if he had been allowed to play on the left all season? What if Roman Abramovich had got the chequebook out sooner?
They needed a striker before but they didn't. Abramovich, for whatever reasons, decided not to fork out.
At the start of the campaign, Hazard was firing on all cylinders.
But then came the plights of Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata. Neither, it seems, are good enough for the west London outfit.
As a result, Maurizio Sarri has often deployed Hazard as a striker this season. That decision, though, has seen the forward lose some of his sparkle.
Against Tottenham, however, Hazard was brilliant.
Back in his favourite position, and back with a bang. It is displays like this that make him one of the Premier League’s standout stars.

He hates being compared to Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. He even said it himself this week.
"I have been at their table for a long time! I've taken a good turn since the World Cup,” he said.
“I feel it, even in the eyes of people. Before, in their eyes, it was: 'Yes, he is a very good player but can he be among the greatest?'
"But there is a time in which you have to stay grounded.
“For everything they have done over the last 10 years we cannot compare ourselves to them, it's impossible.”
