They were beaten 2-0 by Arsenal on Saturday with Sarri blaming the players for defeat after, saying his stars are "extremely difficult to motivate”.
Hazard played in that defeat, deployed in a false nine position though he dropped deeper and deeper throughout the clash.
And with Chelsea struggling, Shearer feels that the Stamford Bridge outfit may consider cashing in on Hazard before it’s too late.
“Another issue Sarri has got is with Hazard’s contract, which has just 18 months left to run,” Shearer wrote for The Sun.
“If Hazard is not seeing progress at Chelsea, he is not going to sign a new deal.

“So they have a decision to make on him because his value is going down every month.”
Belgian football expert Kristof Terreur believes Hazard will push for his move to Real Madrid.
"He rejected two contract offers so far, he said 'I don’t want to sign right now'," Terreur told the Transfer Talk podcast.
"So that means that he’s waiting for something and he’s only waiting for one thing - that’s Real Madrid.

"Madrid are still in touch as far as I know but they still haven’t made their move, they don’t have a personal agreement with him at this point.
"They don’t have an agreement with Chelsea, they haven’t even made a phone call like they did last summer when they called and Marina Granovskaia just told them he’s not for sale and they said ok we’ll respect that.
"But now they might come in again because they need to strengthen their squad after this season and it’s easier to get players who have one year left on their contract.
"For him it’s simple, it’s Real Madrid or Chelsea.”
