Chelsea transfer news: Mauro Icardi agent drops hint over potential £100m move to England
THE wife of Inter Milan hitman Mauro Icardi has warned the club they have plenty of offers to take up if the club doesn’t offer the striker a suitable contract - with Chelsea believed to be in the hunt for the 25-year-old.
Mauro Icardi would be 'absolute hit' for most clubs says Burley
Icardi’s current deal at the San Siro expires in the summer of 2021.
Inter are keen to retain the Argentina international’s services and are currently locked in talks with his representatives over a new deal.
But according to Icardi’s other half Wanda Nara, who also acts as his agent, the club’s offer is nowhere near the figure they want.
And she has dropped a big hint he could quit the San Siro, with Chelsea a potential destination.
"Icardi's renewal with Inter is a very long way off as things stand today," she told AS.
"There are very important clubs that are interested in signing Mauro and we are very far from reaching an agreement [with Inter].
“The figures that are being talked about in Italy about his contract renewal are not accurate.
“So far, we have not received a satisfactory offer from Inter.

"We are not ruling out reaching an agreement at some stage, but at the moment we are a long way off from that.
"It's not logical for Mauro to renew on the same salary that he receives now. We believe that Mauro is at a superior level.
"We have a very good relationship with the two biggest clubs in Spain who are very interested in Mauro, as well as one in France and one in England."
It’s understood the two Spanish clubs Wanda Nara referred to are Real Madrid and Barcelona, who are said to be long-term admirers of Icardi.

While in France, the only team with the necessary funds to snare Icardi are Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.
According to The Mirror, Blues owner Roman Abramovich is willing to meet the Argentine’s £100million release clause.
Inter will be back in action on Sunday evening, welcoming Serie B side Benevento to the San Siro in the last 16 of the Coppa Italia.
